Throughout my time at BronxNet I was able to gain experience as a journalist. This consisted of choosing stories, writing scripts, and going onsite to gather the film for my packages. This allowed me to gain experience building relationships in the community and editing and writing news stories as well.

An event organized by Becca’s Closet and the Office of the Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson seeks to engage with the youth community of the Bronx by providing visiting families and their kids with free prom attire to help make their special day a memorable one.
Bronx Federal Credit Union Opening
The Bronx Peoples Credit Union and participating partners seek to bring local credit unions back to the residents in the borough. By teaching financial literacy and helping Bronxites invest in their present and their future, these new credit unions are a major step for all eligible community residents.
Montefoire Colon Cancer Awareness Event
Montefiore hosts a Colon Cancer Awareness Event to educate the Bronx community on prevention and early detection, featuring expert-led information and resources available to the public. The event gives residents critical knowledge on the best ways to take this critical health issue head-on.
